2024 Jeep Wrangler Trim Levels & Configurations

The Jeep Wrangler is the ultimate off-roader that has made its mark in both military and civilian life. Its classic proportions, rugged off-roading capability, and relatively affordable price tag make it instantly recognizable. And now, Jeep has unveiled the new 2024 Wrangler — a mid-cycle refresh of the best-selling JL model with a range of aesthetic changes and improved features. With this facelift, the Wrangler stands out even more as the quintessential off-roader without losing its classic look.

Among the most notable changes are improved load limiters and seat belt pretensioners, a higher airbag count, and structural enhancements for better side-impact protection. All of these only serve to make the Wrangler even better and more appealing, which is why it has held its value so well across the globe and why Jeep has sold almost 5 million Wranglers worldwide.

Whether you spend your weekends out in nature or just want to look the part, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler will take you just about anywhere in style. From the base Sport to the luxurious Rubicon, plenty of trim levels are available to help you customize your perfect off-roading machine. So, get ready to hit the trails with the latest and greatest Jeep Wrangler yet. All you have to do is pick the right trim for you.

Sport

At an estimated starting MSRP of $35,000, this is the least expensive of the Wrangler trims. It has a 3.6-liter V-6 gas engine that churns out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a six-speed manual transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic. A 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque is optional. It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Four-wheel drive is also standard, as well as 17-inch aluminum wheels and a seven-slot grille. This trim also includes added features such as a Command-Trac part-time 4×4 system with shift-on-the-fly capability, a premium soft top, and a 12.3-inch touch-screen infotainment display.

Sport S

The Sport S trim bumps up the estimated starting MSRP to $37,000. It comes with the same features as the Sport trim but adds a few extra features, such as a Gorilla Glass windshield, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning. This trim is great value considering the added features and is ideal for those who want a little more than the base model. It’s powered by the same 3.6-liter V-6 engine and transmission as the Sport and still comes with the optional 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine.

Willys

The Willys trim comes in at an estimated starting MSRP of $40,000 and is the perfect mix of form and function for any off-roading enthusiast. This trim features 33-inch BFGoodrich tires, steel rock sliders for extra protection and stability when navigating off-road trails, and a rear-locking differential for true off-road domination. Additionally, the Willys comes with a Tru-Lok rear locker and Dana 44 HD full-float rear axle, and a Selec-Trac full-time transfer case with a 4LO ratio of 2.72:1, as well as four skid plates to protect the fuel tank, transfer case, and transmission oil pan.

Sahara

The Sahara trim starts at an estimated MSRP of $50,000. This trim is the perfect blend of luxury and off-roading capabilities. It comes standard with the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that makes 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Sahara trim also includes features such as heated seats and steering wheel and LED headlights, taillights, and fog lights.

High Altitude

The High Altitude trim offers additional luxury features to the already-loaded Sahara trim. This trim starts at an estimated MSRP of $60,000 and comes with the same 2.0-liter turbocharged engine as the Sahara trim. Additionally, it has 12-way power-adjustable front seats and a Black or Mantis Green Nappa-wrapped instrument cluster surround for added refinement. It also includes a 12.3-inch digital touch screen with navigation for advanced control and convenience, acoustic front glass to reduce road noise, and more.

Rubicon

The Rubicon starts at an estimated MSRP of $45,000 and is where the Wrangler’s legendary off-road capability shines. Tucked under the hood is a 6.4-liter V-8 engine that puts out 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The 3.6-liter V-6 engine is also available for those who want a more efficient option.

Off-road-wise, the Rubicon is quite impressive, coming standard with Dana 44 HD full-float rear axle, auxiliary switches for added control and convenience when off-roading, a special black water-resistant Addax cloth instrument panel mid bolster, and a Rock-Trac part-time transfer case with 4:1 4LO ratio. Additionally, the Rubicon comes with a factory 8,000-pound-capacity Warn winch and Tru-Lok front- and rear-axle lockers. 33-inch tires come standard, making the Rubicon an excellent option for those looking to take their off-roading adventures to the next level.

Rubicon X

The new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X is the newest trim from Jeep and has many features designed to make off-roading even more enjoyable. This trim has an estimated starting MSRP of $70,000 and offers a choice between a gas and a hybrid powertrain. The hybrid option comprises a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with a 17-kWh battery pack, a gearbox, and an engine-mounted electric generator unit. This powertrain dishes out 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The gas option is the 3.6-liter V-6 engine.

The Rubicon X trim also includes a Rock-Trac full-time transfer case, an integrated off-road camera, 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires mounted on beadlock-capable wheels, and front and rear steel bumpers.

Rubicon 392

The Rubicon 392 trim is back for another year and builds on the already-impressive Rubicon models with a host of additions, including 35-inch tires and a 1.5-inch lift. Additional features include heated seats and steering wheel, acoustic front glass, integrated front off-road camera, and more. Under the hood is the 6.4-liter V-8 engine that generates 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Also included is a 4.56 axle ratio and a Selec-Trac full-time transfer case with a gear ratio of 2.72:1 for maximum off-road capability. This range-topping trim will set you back around $85,000 MSRP.
